What are the best rolls to serve at thanksgiving

The best rolls for Thanksgiving have a neutral taste, so they go well with all other dishes. Of course, it is better to serve them soft and fresh. You can add sesame, artificial sweeteners or sugar, herbs, cheese, or other ingredients if you have specific preferences.

How to make rolls for thanksgiving

Mix liquid and dry ingredients in separate bowls. Prepare the dough using a mixer, beat it, and cover it till it rises. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes till you see a little brown crust on top. You can decorate it with some egg yolk and bake it for additional 2-5 minutes.

How to keep dinner rolls fresh until thanksgiving

You can easily freeze your rolls! Heat them in a microwave on high power for 30 seconds. Just make sure that the plate or container is compatible with a microwave. You can also use an oven instead. Preheat it to 330 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the rolls for 5-7 minutes. If you don't need to store them for long, keep your rolls in the fridge. Use a container with a lid to prevent the rolls from absorbing other smells from the refrigerator.

How to make

Please follow the next steps:

  1. 1

Heat the milk and 3 tbsp butter in a small pan to approximately 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

Mix sugar, flour (1.5 cups), yeast, egg, and salt.

  3. 3

Combine the two mixtures in a large bowl.

  4. 4

Use a mixer to beat the content of the bowl. Add 0.5 cup flour and beat again. Add herbs, garlic, or cheese if you prefer flavored rolls. Increase the speed of your mixer and beat for 2-3 minutes till smooth.

  5. 5

Prepare a surface to knead the dough: clean it and pour a little flour. When the dough becomes smooth, put it in a large bowl greased in oil. Turn the dough, so it is fully coated with oil. Cover it for 1 hour using a clean towel.

  6. 6

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  7. 7

Grease a deep baking tray or pan with oil. You can also use silicone cupcake liners of medium size. Form the rolls into small balls and put them there. Cover them with foil. Bake for 15 minutes.

  8. 8

Take the rolls out, remove the foil, and cover them with a thin layer of egg yolk using a silicone brush. You can also put a bit of sesame at this stage. Bake for 5 minutes.
