Easy and quick chicken rice recipe. The dish is perfect for lunch or dinner. Optionally, you can add Parmesan or mozzarella to the recipe to create a more cheesy texture. To diversify the recipe, add mushrooms or carrots and garnish the meal with chopped parsley. After cooking, you can store the dish in the fridge for up to 2 days. We don't recommend freezing it.

Essential ingredients

  • Basmati rice

    100 g (½ cup)

  • Chicken breast

    150 g

  • Cheddar cheese

    100 g (4 slices)

  • Onions

    50 g (½ pieces)

  • Garlic

    5 g (1 tsp)

Ingredients to taste

Salt, Black pepper, Olive oil, Turmeric

How to make

Please follow the next steps:

    Place the rice in a small saucepan, cover with water (in a ratio of 1:3) and put on medium heat for 10 minutes until half cooked. Add salt and spices to taste.

    Meanwhile, cut the chicken breast. And fry with onions and garlic in a pan for 5-10 minutes.

    Grate cheese.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C / 356°F.

    Put rice and fried chicken in a baking dish. Put cheese on top.

    Put in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

    Transfer the finished casserole to a plate and serve. Bon Appetit!
