    Heat an oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) to the baguette that serves as the base of our appetizer.

    Slice the top of the cherry tomatoes, then cut them in half. Remove seeds, cutting the tomatoes into small pieces. Put in a large bowl.

    Next, collect all the basil, and cut it into thin strips. Add it to the bowl with the cut tomatoes, and then add in mozzarella cheese.

    Now sprinkle the mixture with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
