You can reveal the delicious taste of macaroni by using them in a distinct role. How exactly? Just make a salad! You will be delighted with the "macaroni salad" with carrots, celery, and sour cream. Healthy, nutritious, and full of vitamins, the recipe will be a perfect meal for a big family!
According to legend, "macaroni" was named after an Italian businessman in the 16th century. His daughter sculpted thin tubes from the dough and hung them on a rope. Noticing this, the owner boiled them, seasoned them with tomato sauce, and treated guests. After that, a factory for making noodles appeared. Marco Aroni (the inventor) called the unique product "macaroni." The peak of the product's popularity dates back to the twentieth century and does not fade to this day.
Macaroni
120 g (1 cup)
Sour cream 10%
30 g (2 tsp)
White wine vinegar
5 g (1 tsp)
Mustard
5 g (1 tsp)
Onions
60 g (½ pieces)
Carrots
45 g (0.3 cup)
Salt, Black pepper
1
Bring a pot of salted water to your taste to a boil.
2
Add the macaroni, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Rinse under cold water and drain.
3
Mix the sour cream, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
4
Stir in the chopped onion, celery, grated carrot, and macaroni.
5
Cool for at least 4 hours before serving. Enjoy your meal!
Avoid adding heavy cream or sour cream to your dish. Replace it with natural yogurt or low-fat sour cream.
Weight your macaroni before cooking: In this case, it's much easier to count how many calories you've got from the ingredient.
If you decide to stick to proper nutrition, try making a blank for a week. Food containers for each day organize food intake.
