  • Water

    420 g (2 cup)

How to make

Please follow the next steps:

  1. 1

Sort the cereal, pouring it into small portions on a saucer. We remove unpeeled grains, skins, and other debris.

  2. 2

Take a small saucepan, and pour buckwheat into it. Rinse with tap water to remove dust and debris. Carefully drain the remaining liquid, holding the grits with your hands or using a sieve.

  3. 3

Pour buckwheat with water at the rate of 2 cups of water per 1 cup of buckwheat. If we cook buckwheat in a saucepan without a lid, add a little more water, considering boiling (about 1/5 cup). Put the pot on the stove and bring it to a boil.

  4. 4

After boiling, reduce the heat to a minimum, salt and mix the cereal, and cover the pan with a lid. Boil buckwheat for 8-10 minutes over low heat until water is absorbed. Please note that the time may vary depending on the volume of cereals and dishes we cook. During cooking, it is advisable to stir the buckwheat a couple of times so that it boils evenly.

  5. 5

When almost all the water is absorbed, turn off the stove and add butter to the buckwheat. If the buckwheat seems wet, it's okay. It will stand and be absorbed.

  6. 6

Thoroughly stir our porridge and cover it with a lid. Let it steam a little for 10-15 minutes.

  7. 7

Serve with sprinkled parsley or pieces of your favorite cheese.
